Pay a visit to some nearby hill tribe villages before end of the day at Kuang Si Falls, thirty kilometers from town. There is no better way to experience local daily life in such a short time!

Morning, you’re picked by your private guide for full day tour to visit Ban Chan and Kuang Si Waterfall.
You’ll first cross the Mekong River by boat, to the picturesque village of Ban Chan, a pottery village. A visit is made at the morning Phousi Market, where you will see such diverse offerings as dried buffalo skin, local tea and saltpeter among vegetables, the chickens and hill-tribe weavings. Laos is also known for its traditional crafts, and today you will visit local villages of Lao ethnic minority groups at Ban Ouay, a Hmong village, Ban Ou a Laoloum village and Ban Thapene, a Khmu village. You’re then taken to the beautiful Kuang Si Waterfall where you can cool off with a refreshing swim in the pools or walk along the forest trails. Return to Luang Prabang by late afternoon and finish tour at your hotel.
