Description

A Mahout means an elephant ‘driver’, ‘keeper’, or ‘handler’, and here you will learn everything to become a Mahout. You will also have the opportunity to bond personally with your own elephant, learn how to bathe it, feed it, and ride on its neck. Then take a boat cruise to the Tad Sae Waterfall, a spectacular natural wonder best seen in the wet season. The falls pour over beautiful limestone formations across a variety of levels into large pools below, which are fantastic to swim in

 

Detail Itinerary 

Today, your private guide picks you up at your hotel at 8:00 AM to start a full day tour.
You first drive directly to the Elephant Village On arrival, the Camp Manager will welcome and greet you and brief shortly about the village. After, enjoy the impressive experience of approx. 30-minute elephant ride on the Howdah – the name of Elephant seat or on your elephant’s neck. You then receive basic mahout training on how to control an elephant. Lunch at the Elephant Restaurant
After lunch, you will take your own elephant down to the Nam Khan River for an exhilarating bathing experience. From here, you enjoy a traditional Lao long boat to the Tad Sae Waterfall and relax in the clear water. You’re free to stroll around the Elephant Village before driving back to the city center. End of service at your hotel
